Nelson Training Centre

Nelson Training Centre is a café that primarily serves as a training facility for the hospitality industry. It offers free training courses for eligible students, particularly targeting those aged 16-19, thanks to funding from the Tertiary Education Commission. The centre has been providing foundational hospitality education for 30 years and is an NZQA Category 2 accredited provider. In addition to training, the on-site café allows students to gain practical experience in food preparation and customer service.

Located at 3/14 Vanguard Street in Nelson Central, the café is easily reachable for both locals and visitors. It operates every Thursday during the school term, providing a welcoming environment for the community to enjoy lunch while supporting the students in their training. The café experience also includes free Friday luncheons for invited guests, further enhancing the students' learning opportunities.
